Has anyone signed up the kids for soccer at Getty Park? I'm trying to find info on it, but cannot locate the email. Do you know when it starts? Or has it already? If you could, please pass along any info you have. Thanks!
I emailed Julia, the woman who coordinates, a couple of weeks ago and she said she hasn't received the info yet. I was going to email her again, but didn't want to bug her. This is the problem with participating in a super laid back program. Anyway, I was planning to have Sollo participate again and would love to have friends join him. I will let you know as soon as I see any sign up info.
ok, we heard back from Excite and Brit-Am. One is on Saturdays, the other on Sundays. Before I register Basa, I wanted to get a feel for which one most people are leaning toward. If I recall correctly, Excite is a bit informal and Brit_Am has more structure.
Excite starts Saturday, September 22nd. You should email Julie at mrs_evs@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested.
Brit_Am starts Sunday, September 9th at 11am. You should contact Patricia at pvanryckeghem@yahoo.com
Heather - I would definitely like to do Excite. I like that it's on Saturdays and I like that we can walk there. I will email Julie and tell her to sign Sollo up.
hi all, i'm interested in the sunday soccer as well. we tried excite about a year ago, and they kept playing this game called nemos and sharks that was basically tag with a soccer ball. they played it every class, and it drove me nuts, because it has nothing to do with soccer. i think they are getting old enough to learn some passing and ball handling fundamentals and understand the rules. has anyone done the brit-am before?
I registered Basa for Brit-Am this morning. I verified that there are still spots available if anyone else wants to try Brit Am this year. Sundays at 11, Getty Park. Starts Sept 9th. $120 for the class and each child is required to bring shin guards and a soccer ball. (You can purchase from Brit Am during online registration.)
This class is for 5-6 year olds, but I asked Patricia if I could register Basa eventhough he doesn't turn 5 till November. When you register online you have to fudge the birthdate so the class appears as an option. http://www.ultracamp.com/info/sessionDetail.aspx?idSession=46714

ReplyDeleteSundays would probably work a little better for us schedule-wise, but if Brit Am isn't at Getty, I'd prefer Excite.
