PlayWiseKids

A co-worker told me about an indoor Play Village in Columbia, MD (he promises it only takes 15 minutes non-rush hour). Perks for parents include a Cafe, game room (think foosball), and he even mentioned chair massages!

Some of PlayWiseKids hands-on exhibits include:

A real Fire truck that children can pretend to drive and firefighter uniforms for dress-up. Medieval Castle with a ball pit. Train room with loads of wooden tracks and trains! Toddler Areas with slides, tunnels, dinos to climb on, manipulatives, and other age appropriate activities. Our child-sized Grocery Store complete with shopping carts, fruits, vegetables and other food packages. An Arts & Crafts area for coloring and creating masterpieces! Playhouse with a kitchen, a flower garden, and a table for pretend picnics! Dress-up areas for dramatic play where children can put on dresses, military uniforms, animal costumes and even tap shoes!!! Oversized sandbox representing the Chesapeake Bay stocked with sand pails, shovels, and sand wheels. Giant Block Room with over-sized tinker toys and legos. A jeep to drive with a slide in the back!

Children (2 to 10 yrs old): $9.95
Toddlers (12 – 23 months): $6.95
Adults (11 yrs and older): $4.00
Babies (11 months and younger): FREE

Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  1. I hear PlayWise just converted to Great Kids Village, and a NEW one opened in Downtown SS (across from Whole Foods on Fenton). Check out: http://www.greatkidsvillage.com/. We plan to go soon... maybe Sunday AND Monday. =)
