Hi all!
This week our daycare is closed so Evan will be hanging with his Gma and we are planning to do a few activities around town.
On Tues, we are planning to go out to the free movie at the Majestic in Downtown SS. This week is Tale of Despereaux (G-rated). Since it is free, if we have to leave due to squirmy kid, I don't mind. Movie starts at around 10am. First come-first served. Go to the 2nd floor for the line.
On Wed, Evan, Gma and I will be headed to Downtown SS for the 1030 am Little Tots activities going on near the fountain. This week the activities will be led by Gymboree so it should be fun. Afterwards, we plan to have Evan check out the fountain so he will be in his swim outfit. He's watched before and maybe this time he'll go in. (I think I will have to venture in to coax him though.) Then, maybe some lunch.
I know Cristina and Adrian are possibly interested in one or both days. If for any reason you too are around with your tot on Tues or Wed, come on and join in.
Cell 202 415 4016.
Ciao!

Flw up intel on Movie and Lil Tots:
ReplyDelete1) The free movie was a good idea and Evan made it thru the 1.5 hrs with no problem. Get there early to get a seat next to where you can put your stroller so that your little one is more secure. (They have boosters, but at 19 months, Evan did better in his stroller.) It got very crowded and they even let people sit on the stairs (fire hazard???)
2) Lil Tots was fun but crowded at first. In fact, Evan took off away from the fun/activities as I think it was too much to take in with the crowds, the music, the fountain kids, etc. We ended up standing behind the stage as it was quieter (no speakers directed at the back) and less crowded. Gymboree did lots of fun dances that Evan eventually got into. The schedule of performers/activities rotates, but if you have a Wed off this summer, consider going.
3) The escalator: The hit of Tues/Wed was riding the escalator over and over and over again at the Majestic Theater. Evan loved it. And at the top is a large air conditioned area to run around in. Again, a win in Evan's book.
