sunday 9/20 - usual time 10ish

hi all, i would love to host this Sunday, if no one else has called dibs. the weather looks tentatively good, but rainy on Friday and Saturday (like our week at the beach, sigh), so i don't know how squishy the ground will be. either way, it's been a couple weeks since we've seen everyone, and it would be great to get together :)

Our first, and hopefully last, terrible school experience

I'm not about to post anything beyond our little playgroup site, but since I talked to a lot of you about my excitement in sending Solomon to Crossways Community Montessori this fall, I thought I would let you know that it was a complete bust. I'd be happy to talk to you, or anyone else you know who is considering it in more detail, but suffice to say, the well-run, thoughtful and nurturing environment that I encountered during my many visits was not on display during Solomon's first two days. So, he is back, safe and sound, in his nanny share, where he will remain until we decide what to do next.

We'll be away this weekend and have a playdate with some former co-workers on the 13th, so hopefully we will see you all the following week.

Hi all,
